SCITOONS TEAM
After graduating in Pharmacy from the University of Granada, Juandi Unciti-Broceta began his research career culminating in 2012 with obtaining the PhD in biomedicine. During these years he has worked for the University of Granada, the CSIC and the University of Brussels which allowed him to publish more than a dozen articles in scientific journals of international prestige. In these articles he made his first forays into graphic design, showing him the great potential of enlightened science. He currently combines Scitoons with his work as Chief Scientist in NanoGetic S.L., a start-up biotech company located in PTS, Granada. His extensive scientific expertise and his vision of design, make him an excellent link to convert in illustration the science studied.
His academic training began in Malaga (School of Design and Graphic Arts Don Juan Diaz, 2004) in advertising graphics, and quickly he began his professional career in the Costa del Sol. In 2007, he moved to Barcelona where he continued improving professionally, and combining it with various design specialization studies. With 12 years of experience, he has worked for companies throughout Spain, UK, Italy and Germany. He has collaborated with very important companies such as Ajuntament de Barcelona, San Miguel, Privalia, Fiact, Media Films, TV3, Arriska Films, CiU, Santal, Copia Cero Producciones, Ofertix, Umbro, Media Films, Sagrera Audiovisual, Agentur Zeitvertreib, Messidor Films or Mr. Wolf (advertising and design studio for which he has worked for the past two years). He currently heads the graphics department of Scitoons, a job which coordinates with his freelance career.
